So here's a test I did for my Midna cloak to determine where to place the designs, and how big/small to make them. :) The actual cloak is real, I just took a picture of the back designs of the cloak from the actual Midna model, then laid it over the back of mine in Adobe Fireworks.

I feel bad for not working on her more, so I figured I give you guys atleast something to look at for right now. I finally gots my dressform, so I can FINALLY finish the damn cloak! :dance:

great reference photo, but to actually paint it on would be the hard part...
I'm trying to see if stencils would work for this part... :hmm:

Oh yes, it's a pain..
Hmm, you should try contact paper. That way you get really clean lines and the stencil won't move. :)

Can I ask you, did you use fabric paint on the back of the cloak, or if not then what??

This isn't really painted, it's a shopped pic.

I highly recommend Jacquard brand fabric paints. :)
